Overclocking i3 6100

Yes you can BCLK OC the 6100 on that motherboard if you download the proper BIOS.

Remember that using BCLK OC on a locked Skylake chip will have the following drawbacks:
1) No C-states will be supported. Full voltage and full frequency even at idle.
2) No temperature reading on cores using tools like HWMonitor, only package temps.
3) No iGPU (not a concern if you use a dedicated GPU)
4) No AVX (not a problem for gaming)
5) No turbo (not a problem if properly overclocked)

So looking at the drawbacks you wrote,is it worth overclocking the cpu? I have no intension of buying other cpu,and my gpu is gtx 1060 6gb.

ps.Oh also i have ddr3 ram,if that means something, i never overclocked before.

Only do it if you really, really need to.

In your situation I wouldn't bother. The i3-6100 is still a very quick chip and I rather prefer the C-states.
