Hi there,
i found a deal with a i5 2400s at 69 euros with delivery and stuff. He clocks at 2.5Ghz with a turbo boost of 3.3Ghz.I have a GA-Z77-DS3H(rev 1.1) motherboard.I read some posts of users overclocking their non-k cpu's to 4Ghz with turbo boost and what not. Will i be able to achieve the same or would i be stuck at a lets say 3.5Ghz because it's stock is 2.5Ghz, or that doesnt matter. Also it has a TDP of 65W but i am guessing it is because of the lower clock so it runs less hot.And a final question is will i achieve performance like the 2400 or 2500 or higher?
thanks

i purchased it because the offer was ending and i thought someone else would buy it first.Even if i can't get it at 3.8Ghz for that money and that speed(3.3Ghz turbo, maybe 2.9Ghz if all cores are used i don't know)it's still a bargain. That's a real performance per value.I, have also checked in a (ahem)competing site,overcl...ahem.net and i found some posts about overclocking 4 bins over turbo boost. But what i am intersted in is to have all cores run at the turbo frequency. But if we achieve 3.7Ghz then 4 cores will use 3.3Ghz which is enough performance for gaming.

It's currently in the mail.It should be here by friday and will definitely post results here.

Yeah man!Go for it.I will post some benchmarks to help you decide when i get the chip
