Hello, im interesting to overclocking my i5-4690k 3.5GHz base clock to 4.0GHz

Motherboard i have is: MSI Z97 GAMING 3
the only things is that i have Intel stock cooler running at 95% almost maximum speed. So its cools everything down, right now i have 3.5GHz at 95%

I wondering if i can do 4.0GHz?? and if i can, how much i need increase Vcore voltage? or mybe there are Autotune option on MSI?

Solution
Upgrade your cooler first of all. After that, you probably only need to go into the BIOS and change the little field that says Multiplier 35 to 40.
See how far you can go without having to bump the vCore, I'd advise against touching the voltage on stock cooling..

Also, leave the cache multiplier where it is for now - I spent a long time trying to figure that one out!
