I can't seem to get any higher in my clock speed than 4.0ghz. My temps range from 35-38 idle, 45-50 gaming. I think my psu can't handle it, not sure what is going on for sure, any advise?

Specs:
I5 4690k
Asus z97-A 3.1 Mobo
8gigz Corsair 1866 ram
Evga Gtx 960
H50 Corsair AIO cooler
Evo ssd
WD 1T
Corsair cx600 Psu

I don't think your PSU is the problem, you have a "bad" chip most likely, or you're doing it wrong.

Give a look to this overclocking guide.

I managed to get it to 4.4 but that was as high as I could get it.

I'm an idiot lol, I had turbo boost on, I turned it off and got to 4.7 before I got scared to go any further.
