Overclocking I5 6600K with Arctic Alpine GT 11 Rev2

Is overclocking an I5 6600K with the alpine gt 11 rev 2 cpu cooler a good idea?

I watched tech city and he sayed any i5 6600k should be able to reach 4.2 ghz

Not a good idea , that cooler is no better than if you put an old intel stock one on it.

Ah okay, if i'm gonna buy a new motherboard, and a new cpu is it okay to just keep the old cooler and use it?
of course i will reapply thermal paste but is it fine to use a perfectly fine used cooler that i had in my previous computer

Yes it should be fine , the cooler is pretty much a stock level unit.

Since the 6600k and 6700k don't come with one.

115X coolers have the same mounts.
