Overclocking i7-3770k to 4GHz - Use with Cooler Master Hyper 212+

Hi Guys!
Just a quick question:

I just want to know whether The Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is good enough if I want to overclock the CPU to 4GHz.

I plan on using it for games and Photoshop/Lightroom

I am not looking to overclock it further or push it to the extremes of overclocking. I want to play it a little on the safer side, but wanted to know if the cooler that I have is enough for what I want to do with the CPU.

Stick with the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ and save some $$ or move up to Corsair H60 cooling solution?

So if I overclock the processor to 4GHz
Doesn't the turbo aspect of it also go up?

I mean if it goes up to 3.9 GHz under turbo mode, then overclocking to 4GHz, should that not concurrently move up it's turbo speed to 4.4 GHz?

No it doesn't work that way the technology can be kinda confusing, although it depends on the person and there personal preference, you have two choices for overclocking you can overclock via Turbo Boost or set a fixed overclock that you run 24/7 - by overclocking with Turbo you can set it to boost up to that clock speed on all cores when under any significant load then downclock back to 1.6ghz when not in use to save power and reduce heat. Like for example my 3570k at stock runs at 3.4ghz(3.8ghz with Turbo) and when only ONE or TWO cores are being active or used it will boost up to 3.8ghz on either 1 core or 2 depending on certain criteria - now lets say if taxing all 4 cores with Prime95 all 4 cores will run at 3.6ghz. But since I am overclocking manually via the Turbo option I have my Turbo Multiplier set to 42x on all 4 cores, under any significant load they all go up to 4.2ghz and revert back down to 1.6ghz when not in use.


The max clock speeds are as follows depending on load:

2 x 100 MHz for four active cores (3.4 GHz + 200 MHz = 3.6 GHz across ALL FOUR cores)
3 x 100 MHz for three active cores (3.4 GHz + 300 MHz = 3.7 GHz across THREE cores)
4 x 100 MHz for two active cores (3.4 GHz + 400 MHz = 3.8 GHz across TWO cores)
4 x 100 MHz for one active cores (3.4 GHz + 400 MHz = 3.8 GHz across ONE core)

i have the same cooler and i did the asus auto overclocking to 4.6 ghz. im kinda a noob to over clocking but no problems so far. i also have 4 200mm fans on my case so it doesnt get very warm in there.
