Question Overclocking "i7 860" On "H55H-M V1.1"

Thinking of overclocking an old "i7 860" on "H55H-M V1.1", the MOBO is the exact one in the picture, my goal is to get to 4Ghz, so since I'm a newbie before I go buying a cooler and paste I would like to make sure if this MOBO is good enough for this task? that is the main simple question here, plus any useful thoughts on the matter are welcome, thanks.

I can't remember any ECS motherboards that had good or could over clock. But long long time ago so foggy trying to remember. What I do remember if I had to put together a budget system I went ECS. Got you up and running with less money but cut features.

I used to have an i7 870 that I tried to over clock. You can’t do anything besides fiddle with base clock and voltages, which makes it quite unstable (and hot). The multiplier is locked. And this was with a beefy P55 board. TBH I don’t think there’s much reward in attempting this.

It'll be tricky with a barebones motherboard as you might be lacking options which will allow to you stabilize PCIe clocks.

Any motherboard can overclock depend on BIOS settings
