OverClocking i7 870 & GTX 650 Ti

intel core i7 870 2.93GHz
thermaltake 700 litepower
Gigabyte GTX 650 Ti 2 Gb ( No Boost )
GA-P55-UD3L

what should i overclock??
i have already overclocked it at 3.600 MHz
Bus Speed 150
Multiplier 24
Core Volatage 1.265 V
without a Water Cooling System !!

and the temperature when i do nothing is (60 57 55 56 at Real Temp GT 3.70)
when i record with obs it goes 100-92

what should i reduce?
and in a few weeks i will have the H105 corsair water cooling
and then what to increase at Bus Speed and Voltage??

Reduce Bus speed until you get a proper cooler then raise it again, how much is based on trying it.

what kind of cooler do you have on the cpu right now? if its still the stock cooler don't overclock at all, wait till you get the h105.


As for overclocking you want to stay with an odd multiplier, I ran an i7 950 for a few years and never once during overclocking did it like and even multiplier. It would be fine for slower speeds but once I broke the 4ghz line it never liked an even multi. my 24/7 was a 23x201 @4.623 with 1.3volts, max speeds of 23x214 at 1.54v but I ran a full custom 3 loop system for cpu, MB, & gpus so I was able to push that high
