Question Overclocking i9 9900k to 5ghz

Hello recently i buyed an 9900k and i'm trying to overclock... the isue that i'm having is that when i try to run a benckmark like Cinebench the procesor goes down from 5000Ghz to 4600Ghz.... i disabled c-state, avx is set to 0 and still the Ghz go down
Any tips ? Thanks

Don't disable hyperthreading. Did you update the bios when you built your computer?

Yes i updated it with the latest bios from official website...

The turbo mode is disabled... if i set the core ratio to fixed will disable automaticly

I'm still not convinced there is a problem. From what i've read max turbo boost isn't sustained. It peaks at first then dials back, however i'd have to do more research to confirm this.

before i had a 8700k on the same sistem.... and i could run 5ghz on that with no problem... didn't had this "issue"... from what i see if i oc the cpu to 5ghz it drops to 4.7 when runing cinebench, if i oc to 4.9, it drops to 4.6 ghz when runing cinebench.

Could the motherboard be to weak? becouse i don't understand why is not staing fix at 5ghz

if you've OC to 5ghz it shouldn't back off that much. only stock settings it will. do you have an AVX offset?
