I was able to overclock the cpu ratio which in return boosted the GHz in the cpu but I didn't buy the K version of this cpu. Is this safe or real or what?

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 @ 3.40GHz (oc to 3.80 GHz?)
RAM: 24.00GB DDR3
Motherboard: ASUSTek P8Z77-V LK

No clue how this is working...

You'll only be able to overclock up to the CPU's Turbo Boost speed. If you want to push it further then you'll need to increase the FSB, which isn't advised as it will adversely affect the other components.

I would also recommend that you buy an aftermarket CPU cooler. The standard cooler isn't designed to sustain adequate cooling at the Turbo Boost speed indefinitely.

Well is it safe for me to keep it at 4.1 GHz? I got it up to that with my a safe temperature of 50 C from a 1 hour Burn test.
