Just bought my tower today got the intel i5 3570k with the corsair h110 liquid cooler but am having issues pushing past 3.8ghz. I am new to overclocking so was using the auto tune from my motherboard (gigabyte) and when I test with that software it is perfectly stable until 4.7. I then use the software to bring it back to 4.5ghz but upon reboot it fails. it seems to fail to boot past 3.8ghz. And again I am new to this but as I built a friends tower not a month ago with every part being the exact same but he's only using the h80 single fan rad cooler and he's having zero issue at 4.5 ghz. this has made me quite frustrated and so I turn to you guys with any possible tips or help in this regard. I thank you all in advance and look forward to hearing back. thanks.

So you tried overclocking in the bios AND through software? Do NOT do that. Bad things will happen.

Also, do not use autotune. Use manual settings when overclocking.

Try resetting the OCing utility in Windows, clearing the CMOS, and try OCing again with manual settings in the bios.
