My system is becoming a little dated as far as my chip and mobo go. Instead of upgrading I was considering overclocking my i5-3570k. I'm extremely uncomfortable overclocking and would appreciate a step by step or a guide in right direction for user friendly instructions. I've also never overclocked anything before. I worry about bricking my PC and having to deal with it. The bios for this board in general is not very user friendly, making me uncomfortable. Can somebody help ease my anxiety? Is overclocking really worth it in this scenario? PC is mostly for gaming and word processing.

Specs:

- i5-3570k

- Gigabyte G1 GTX 970

- 8GB Patriot DDR3 (2x 4GB Sticks)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I guess it's not dated yet, but without an overclock I'm definitely noticing some hiccups with demanding games. I just hate the risk of messing up my PC and having to dish out more cash to make it right. I appreciate the link but it says that the video content is not available in my country (USA).
