hi all

i have an old sys:

1. intel p4 2.4ghz + intel fan
2. msi 865pe neo2 mobo
3. msi nx7600gs 256mb video card
4. geil ddr2 2X256mb 400mhz ram + kingston ddr2 2X512 400mhz - 1.5gb of ram total
5. asus dvd rw X18 burner
6. westren digital 80gb 8mb harddrive
7. 350w chip PSU
8. WINDOWS XP SP3

A. what can i do to overclock it and who far ?
this is an old sys and i want to practice in overclocking on it from a-z.

If you get any problems post up your specs and we can advice you on the best action to take!

Oh and get a better heatsink first otherwise you wont be going nowhere!
 
Crazy, you have 2 different brands of RAM on the same MOBO!

You can definatley overclock p4s, normally ppl get them to around 4-4.5ghz
 
indeed not sure how constructive that would be for overclocking. With the price of DDR2 these days it cant hear to change this to a single manufacturer!!
