Overclocking Issues with fm2

I am overclocking my fm2 CPU (Athlon x4 760k) and each time I change the voltage settings with AMD Overdrive, the voltage reverts back to what the motherboard set it at. I have already searched my UEFI BIOS for the voltage setting, but alas I had no luck finding the voltage settings. It most likely has to do with my motherboard type ( it is a MSI-A78M-e35 motherboard). Is there anyway to change the voltage settings permanently using software? Thank you.

Please don't try to overclock on that board. Its not going to handle it well. No heatsinks on the VRMs is a very bad sign when it comes to overclockability.

Thanks for the warning, would an A88x motherboard from a more reputable brand suffice?

If you want to up the voltage then do that in BIOS

You may have to manually input the multiplier too

Depends if it has adequate cooling or not. I wouldn't really suggest buying a new mobo just to overclock. If you wanted to upgrade the proc with it or that board dies are the only times I would really recommend buying a new mobo. Not enough performance in overclocking to justify the cost of a new mobo.
