Hey guys i was wondering if get a k series processor and a h series motherboard, is it possible to overclock the cpu? If no, is there any other mobo that i could get to overclock my cpu except z series motherboards? Thanks guys... Appreciate it :)

Solution
no. intel have made is so if you want to overclock your K series cpu you pay a premium for it you wil need a Z97 series motherboard to overclock. only the G3258 can be overclocked on H series boards

Help ..... I already ran into a problem. The first time i started my pc; i was using a 15 inch monitor just for checking. So my bios also adapted to that screen resolution. But now when i'm using it with my 22 inch hd monitor my bios screen does not show properly to that screen resolution. It still shows as it was in my previous monitor. So it looks pretty bad everytime i turn on my pc, like windowed bios which is pretty bad. So how can i fix it ? Should i remove the battery from the motherboard for couple of seconds to reset it so that it can adapt with my current display resolution? I am really in need of your expertise now.... Please help!!!

yes clear the CMOS and start from scratch and are you using a dedicated GOU or the integrated GPU also I found you might run into a few problems with that board update the BIOS to version 1.9.

Yes i am using a gpu, gt 430 but hopefully getting a 970 on 24th. So exactly how can i clear the CMOS without damaging anything? And i already have the 1.9 Bios

I had Asus h81m-d motherboard (chipset is h81) and I5-4670K processor. Got the same clocks as with the Asus Vi hero motherboard that is z87 chipset. Clocks were 4.4 Ghz.
