Hello everyone
I was wondering if I could overclock my lenovo g505s laptop which is powered by a AMD A10 5750 quad core processor.
Thank you

Solution
Check in on the AMD overclocking thread and ask there.
My suggestion for a possible overclock is to ONLY OC the Northbridge.
I have not OC'd an apu yet, so that is why I suggest asking for advice in that thread.
However one can usually get very significant performance increases especially on AMD chips with faster NB, and can often be bumped with very little voltage increase. Which would mean very little heat increase over stock.
The results will not be earth shattering no matter what, you simply have no way to dump the heat from a big OC.
But 10-20% increase in cpu thruput should be possible. This is very dependant on motherboard and bios, how lucky you got with the chip, etc.

Do NOT OC your computer until you feel very confident...

Do NOT OC your computer until you feel very confident you understand what you are doing, and then do SMALL increases with testing between each step. And clocking up laptops is a risky proposition in any case.

And it will almost certainly void your warranty.

Thank you
I think your version of i7 is bad one cause I have heard it is legendary. When I play black ops 2 I get like 35% load on my cpu

Ah ok that makes sense. Well hopefully the OP can squeeze a little northbridge out of his without increasing voltage and heat.
Should be able to if his bios allows for it.

To Crysisgamer. Make sure the folks in the AMD overclocking thread know you are talking about a laptop set up. That same APU in a well cooled desk top can be OC'd quite a ways, but you will be far more limited. Good luck!
