Overclocking memory and gpu

Hey guys,
I was wondering if i should overclock my memory clock offset and my GPU clock offset. So i use EVGA Precision X, and i remember i saw someone with very similar specs to mine overclock the memory to + 500 MHz. And overclocked the GPU clock +10 MHz. Is this smart with my specifications? What else should I overclock or do to my rig? thanks!

Can't hurt anything trying for the ram OC... 500 MHz would be an oddball amount I would shoot for 2133 MHz and take all of the timings on the stick up 1, and up 4 on the 4th timing.
