Hi guys, I have got a question, previously I was using DVI-D single link on my monitor (ASUS VP228H) and I could overclock it up to 67Hz and at the moment I'm using HDMI cable and I could overclock it up to 74Hz.

So my question is, if I use a DVI-D dual link cable, will I be able to achieve the same refresh rate as the HDMI cable or it will be limited to 67Hz same as the single link cable?

Thanks.

Thats funny. I have an ASUS VS239 which will overclock to 66hz with my dvi-d dual link cable and 74hz with my hdmi 1.4 cable, so yeah similar results, I have no idea about why there is a disparity between overcloking using hdmi and dvi but I see the same thing. So to answer your question yes a dvi-d dual link will probably overclock the same as your single link, if my monitor is anything to go by.
