Overclocking My Amd FX 6100

I am a complete noob with this stuff this is my first gaming PC but here are my specs

AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 32nm Technology

8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz

ASRock 970 Extreme3

AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

Should i OC it? I can play watch dogs with high textures with pretty decent FPS but would like to improve it if possible

don't OC on that motherboard, it was never designed for it and never will. Even if you were able to do a decent OC, the difference is nothing "huge".

Dont OC with that board, and for Gabe's sake atleast get 1600mhz ram with CL9 timings. Grab the FX-6300 instead FX-6100 is crap

I have the same board and just overclocked my fx 6100 to 4.0 Ghz with no problems. Just increase the multiplier from 16.5 to 20 and up the voltage to 1.35 and you're golden. Mine is set to that and it works great. Make sure to disable Cool & Quite, Turbo and there's one more but I forget what it is.
