Overclocking my asus r9 290

Hi, I want to overclock my asus r9 290 but I'm not experienced at all with overclocking gpu's. I downloaded msi afterburner, gpu-z and heaven benchmark to overclock.
I know that every gpu is different but can you guys tell me what I need to do? What do I need to change, by how much each time, when to stop, etc.

Well basically.
The core clock you want to move that up say 10mhz. Then test it in a game (like play a full game of BF4) or your favorite game. You can also run a benchmark such as heaven benchmark.

If the game or your PC crashes go back down 10mhz, if it runs successfully and without any bad looking spots (articfacting) Then go up another 10mhz.
Basically just keep repeating this until it does crash then go back down a little.
Once you've found your max core overclock, you can also bump the core voltage up a bit (warning: this can decrease card life) basically just bump it up a little and test if you wish to over-volt. (look up max voltage on your card as not to damage your card, overvolting is not required unless you are dire for...

Now for memory clock, same deal with the core clock however I would do bigger steps at first then smaller ones.
You can look up what you can expect from your card on Google.

I own the Sapphire 290 and I got 1080mhz on stock voltage and 1300mhz on the memory. 😉 Which is about average on stock voltage.
With over volting I got 1120mhz with a small voltage bump.
