Ok, I'm thinking about overclocking my card, and I'm not sure what clock speeds to adjust it too. Don't want it blowing up in my face either, I was thinking about using the tools provided by Nvidia's newest Detonator drivers.

Any suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance.

Its different for every card, but the general idea for ANY card is the same.

Go slowly in small increments, testing thouroughly as you go.

And do the ram and the core seperately to begin with.

and whatever you do dont crank it up to insane levels then test it. Thats a great way to fry it.

Go in say 5Mhz increments.
If it locks up or exhibits odd behavior or ANY artefacts, back off the timings.

I'd get rid of it...OCing this card is a waste of time. You'll be lucky if the OC even brings any performance gains out of it.

Yea, funny thing, I was just looking at some cards, so now I'm wondering what card to buy :p So far it stands between these 2:

CLUB 3D R9800 SE 128MB DDR CRT+TV+DVI
SAPPHIRE R9600 ATLANTIS 256MB VGA+DVI+TV

The first one I can get for 260 bucks, the second one for 150 bucks. I'm waiting for a new motherboard as well, A7N8X-Deluxe, with nForce2, should I go for a geforce instead, or just go for the budget?
