Overclocking My GPU

MSI GTX 1050ti 4GB
8GB R.A.M

Is it safe to overclock my GPU at 1000MHz?
I asked my friend about doing this... He said it could be risky
Please do advise weather I should be doing it or not?
I'm new here.

move you GPU clock up by 25mhz or 50mhz until you find a clock where it is unstable.

For the most part there is not a ton of risk as long as you are not messing with the voltage. I would recomend looking at an gpu overclocking guide at some point as well.

The general idea of overclocking the graphics card is to advance the overclock by small jumps at a time. If you jump too fast and the system crashes, then you have wasted your time. Why? Because you still don't have any information when it crashes.
