Hi all,
I have a Inno3D GTX 1070 and i need some help on overclocking it. I have overclocked cards in the past, but this ones tricky. Whenever I apply an overclock in MSI afterburner, the card goes into idle mode.. then stays there forever. I have to uninstall afterburner then restart my pc to get it back.
in idle mode it runs at 139mhz core and 405mhz memory. That 139mhz gives me very good fps in game yes? But seriously if anyone can help that would be appreciated. Plus when the card idles the fans dont spin, when they do is a toasty 84 degrees load ok?
Thanks

Oh, sorry I misunderstod you, haha.....
Well default without pushing the temp limit should be 85*C before throttling.
Uninstall msi, download asus gpu tweak II
https://www.asus.com/us/site/graphics-cards/gpu-tweak-ii/ (Note it says Free download).
You have no idea what you are talking about or you are being sarcastic?
Of course while overclocking, core clock should be at its rated when OC'ed (also for memory), fans have to spin unless 0 fan mode (under 60*C fans dont work), above it should start to spin, if not there is conflict betweeen something.

Yes, I was being sarcastic about the 139mhz clock being good. But the card idles like that if its not doing anything graphically intensive. For example if i load up a game it goes up to the stock and boosts, but with an overclock it doesnt do that. It stays with the idle clocks while the memory clocks spike up to where it should be. I just don't know why this is happening and is 84 degrees Celsius ok for a gpu? seems a tad toasty.

Oh no, definitely not idle, Idle fans dont spin and temp is around 35 degrees, on load it is around 80.

Ok, what now? Does this allow me to still have the fans not spinning on idle?
