I need a a suggestion on if this is worth doing on my system as I know I am not utilizing anywhere near my max ram usage. PC Specs are:
mobo: 990fx fatality killer
cpu: fx8350 oc'd to 4.4
gpu: gtx1060 6gb
ram: corsair vengeange 2400 ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EUPV2RQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )

Currently I have the BIOS ram set to auto detect and it seems to run only at 1333. I'd liek to raise it a bit if anyone thinks it would be worthwhile. I did set it to the XFT setting (sets the memory to 2400) but I was having some pc booting issues when I did that. Any suggestions on if this is worth it and how I should go about doing it?

Just g o into my bios and manually set it to 1866? Anything I have to worry about when doing this?

Do I have to turn on the XMP profile then manually turn it to 1666 (or whatever the next value is) or just manually turn it up without touching theXMP? Thank you guys for the help on this btw!
