Hi guys, I am new to overclocking. I have a Aorus b450 Pro and Ryzen 5 2600. I watched youtube guides on overclocking but i cant seem to set my core voltage to 1.3-1.4v. Im stuck at +0.204v is my motherboard broken or something? I watch other guys overclocking on youtube and they can set their voltage freely my wont even reach 1.0v. :(

Heres the picture

How can i update my bios? sorry really have no clue on these things.

It varies depending on motherboard. You likely need to grab the latest bios file from gigabyte s product page for your motherboard and follow the instructions. My msi board requires me to put the file on a usb stick and then select the flash mode from my bios. After a restart it will flash the latest bios on the mobo.

Still the same i can only go 0.204v. I was really hoping to get 4.0-4.1GHZ at 1.4v stable but i guess i bought a bad mobo. i should've picked Asus, overclocking on Aorus sucks :(

Thanks sir! I thought 1.425v is safe lol! Luckily i asked here before overclocking mine. I am currentlyat 3.9GHZ on all cores @1.25v using Ryzen Master i think its stable i run Aida64 for 4hrs straight capped at 65c underload using my cryorig h7. :) And tried playing PUBG and getting 130-145fps stable with AA:Ultra,Texture:High,Distance:medium the rest V.Low. I overclocked my gtx1060 6gb also +120core & +350memory. I really dont intend to OC mine to the max just a Mid range OCis good enough for me :)

If you set it at the max voltage as you had implied in your earlier message of 0.205 that should put you at around the 1.425 your looking for. In this Mobo you just adjust the offset to get the voltage you want. It has a fixed voltage of 1.2 so with the offset you go bit by bit.

@mxxroque sir, i tried ocing now on my
Aorus and set my Dynamic Vcore (DVID) @ +0.150v with 4ghz on all cores. I ran cinebench it passed, currenty running aida64 im in 20mins now all good. In cpu-z it says my core voltage is 1.260v. Do i still need to up the voltage from +0.150v to +0.174v? Cause it says here im only at 1.260v in CPU-z? Or as long aida64 doesnt encounter problem i will be good with +0.150v 4.0GHZ oc? Sorry for my bad english.
