Got an hp laptop with amd a10-4655m at 2ghz with turbo core 2.8ghz, I want to set the basic 2ghz to 2.5ghz but I am not able to.
My bios (insyde f.15 rev3.7)won't show any voltage or CPU/gpu editing options , amd overdrive does not works at all , then what to do?

Solution
Adjusting your base clock frequency on a laptop is a bad idea, thermal limitations on laptop design prevent you from upping the base CPU because then it couldn't drop to a point where it will cool off. Turbo throttles after a certain amount of time, so if you're playing games that constantly push your CPU it will slow down after it heats up.

Basically you're stuck, you got a laptop and laptops are intentionally crippled for overclocking. If you want more performance you either need to go with a desktop, or spend more on your laptop. You need to budget around $800 is where laptops with serious gaming abilities come in.

But it shows in CPU monitor , it reaches speeds upto 2800mhz
And when it goes with turbo core till 2800mhz then why it cannot be set at 2.4 or 2.5ghz

Turbo core is usually a sudden burst in frequency that is supposed to help out 1 or maybe 2 cores for a short amount of time until a certain temperature threshold is reached. At least, that's my understanding of it.

Because it boosts for a short duration. It won't hold a boosted clock rate for very long in a laptop. It would hold it for less time less often if you boosted the base clock.

On desktops you can hold the boost with large cooling fins and fans/pumps circulating air/liquid.
