I asked this same thing a long time ago but never found an answer and anyways I really want to overclock my CPU now. My specs:
FX-8350
AsRock 970 Pro3 mobo (AM3+ of course)
8GB RAM
600W PSU
HD 7950 (just thought I'd include that)
So I basically am just curious as to why even the SLIGHTEST overclock of +0.5x core multiplier will make for this strange lag in games such as Minecraft. I have a video for you to watch.
Basically, when in the game, there isn't fps drops or lag like that, but it's much worse in my opinion. It's this lag that makes my character glitch around and makes the game feel almost like it's running faster or something than it should (if that makes any sense), because it feels like it's just WTF WEIRD.
Any help is appreciated. This ALSO happens if I under-clock too, just say'n.
