Will be possible to overclock that particular processor on MSI MS-7360 mobo? And its intel Core 2 quad Q6600

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz SLACR (95w TDP)
MSI MS-7360 P35
8 GB Corsair XMS2 6400
AMD HD 6850 1GB
160GB + 1TB HDD
Corsair TX650 650w

Solution
Then GO! Go slowly and monitor your temps as you go. Please don't ask for specifics. I am too old for that stuff these days
! (48). Haven't done it in years. I ended up just buying a q9650 used off of ebay and run it stock. I am such a bore! Good luck!

Yes, it should be possible. You can overclock by upping the FSB. A reasonably safe overclock would be upping the FSB from 1066 to 1333Mhz. You may need a voltage bump on the processor as well to achieve this. Have a look for some online guides that talk through overclocking Core 2 processors, they were good overclockers so there are plenty of good guides around.

Warning: The Q6600 gets ferociously hot once overclocked. You'll need an aftermarket cooler.

The problem could be that if i overclock so it is bigger chance that my mobo may fail? because it has only 1x4 12V railing, not like the i7 with 2x4 12V railings.

You can't raise the multiplier on a Q6600, it's locked. Overclocking is limited to raising the FSB.

The motherboard natively supports an FSB of 1333Mhz, so setting this speed would not be overclocking the motherboard at all, this would cause zero strain on your motherboard, it's designed for it. An FSB of 1333 would give you a CPU speed of 3.0Ghz.

Well thats good to know! So it would be easier to overclock cause i usually use only FSB to overclock
