Hello everyone,
This is my first overclock so I pretty much have no clue what I'm doing, my specs are:
CPU: Intel Pentium e6700 (3.2GHz base frequency)
MOBO: GA-G31M-ES2L (rev. 2.4)
RAM: 1x2GB @667MHz / 1x2GB @800MHz (4GB)
PSU: Nox Urano VX 650W
CPU COOLER:

Alright so basically I managed to overclock the CPU to 3.6GHz (from 3.2GHz) but I can't go any higher, I'm aware I have a pretty bad cooler but I don't think its the reason I can't go higher as temps are not going over 35C on the board and 43C on the CPU. Is it the motherboard then that's limiting my OC? I have read on google gigabyte boards like mine aren't really good for overclocking. I've managed to boot windows on up to 3.8GHz but it crashes under load. Also my bios settings could be wrong as I have no clue what I'm doing.
I've seen a pretty big improvent with the OC I've done so I was just wondering if I could get abit more out of it, this build is just my secondary PC so I'm not really fussed.
BIOS and temps: http://
Thank alot,
- Matthew
