Overclocking problems with FX8320 explained inside.

It seems when I overclock (yes being kinda a noob) my system lags or is throttled and a 4.5ghz boost is switched to (7-20x) randomly when needed and seems to jump cpu up when needed but give me what looks like a lag spike....

Even in auto oc with amd overdrive or onboard options (m5a99fx pro r2.0 fx8320) it hangs like 2-3 seconds when i type in games. (internet router not the issue)

How are you cooling it? May be throttling back suddenly causing a lag spike to prevent any heat damage

You can use AMD Overdrive, or AIDA64 to monitor your clockrates while putting your CPU under stress. See if you can find a pattern - if it starts to throttling when under a load, you may have overheating VRMs.

Corsair Carbide Air 540 case (TONS OF ROOM + AIRFLOW)

two front 120mm fans intake
1x back 120mm fans out
2x 120mm fans on rad top of case pushing air out

I am confused it lags even on flashed bios sometimes and CPU goes 7-20x ratio but still should not lag on stock bios I wouldnt think....

could my cpu be getting too cold? reads 1/1/10 on value/min/max? (HwMonitor)

Use AIDA64, and monitor your clockrates while under a stressload.
