hey, as it says in the title im planing to try to over clock my Q6600 hopefully to at least 3ghz, i do no how to get this started but i was wondering what type of cooling i would need. I have the antec 300 case of i would need a cpu fan that would fit the case, if there are any suggestions on which makes to go with or just what to buy that would be a great help.

thanks

I did 3.0ghz on the stock cooler, but it did run a tad warm. The Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro should fit the case nicely, it's cheap, and it's not huge. It'll get the job done.

The Arctic Coolin Freezer 7 Pro is indeed a good HSF. At 3.4ghz I idle in the low 20's and at full load I get up to only 45C.

The Xigmatic is much better, but i didn't suggest it because it's a very tall HSF. But there is dimensions listed on the site you linked, measure to make sure it'll fit your case. If it can, i highly recommend it.
