Overclocking q6600 without voltage change?

I heard that you can overclock the q6600 to 2.8 ghz by just changing the fsb. don't touch memory? Thats it, just change the fsb. is this true?

yes it's generally true. while every cpu is different i can tell you that i have mine oced to 3.0 without having to up the voltage

that is true to my case even with stock cooler. but, i have to increase voltage to reach to 3 and again to 3.2 and again to 3.4. I think that beyond 3.4 it is not worth to squeeze the jucie. I have to go over 1.5 in my case because i have a very high vid ( 1.325 V). Otherwise it failed the prime test.
