Overclocking questions help

Hi just got a i5 6600k whit an asrock z170 pro 4s my problem is whit the voltages if i let it auto it goes up to 1.4v and thats bad so i wanted to use offset mode but i didnt know how it works it said -100 so i thought +5 will do well it didnt even started windows how do this mode works?

By the way is a light overclock just 4.2

What are you trying to OC to and what is the current base vCore (CPU voltage)

Cpu i5 6600k voltage i get stable 4.2 at 1.235 but it stays like that because its fixed i want the voltage to go down when it isnt needed but i dont know how offset works

Set the CPU voltage to Auto and find what it is at. the based on that we can try a positive offset

Whitout the overclock its at 1.180 max wiht the oc it goes up to 1.4 on auto

OK try setting to an offset of + 0.10 initially and try it at 4.2- 4.3 or so

well there arent 0 but i soppose +10 will be the same
