I have seen some people overclocking their HD 5470 to 800 Mhz+ and many saying its quite harmful to overclock in a laptop. I know its possible to do so but I can't do it. It won't let me overclock itself. "Need some help here"
I am trying to play Dirt 2/3, NFS most wanted 2012, COD on mid settings etc. I tried afterburner but its saying that the core clock is on max (750), it isn't letting me increase it.
Uh, no. Doing it right now but it is not letting me save it I tried to replace the original after making the changes but its saying "Access is Denied". Also tried saving it with a different name but it won't let me save it in the Afterburner folder.
Ok, I did it and this is how it looks like. What stability tests should I run and when I increased the core clock by 5Mhz, some lines appear frequently shaking the screen. What to do?
Are you monitoring your temps?
Use Unique heaven benchmark.
If the lines appear then your OC is likely not stable, meaning running hot or just won't work, on a desktop you can add voltage to fix this, but not on a laptop.
