I was wondering if OCing my RAM would help increase my CPU OC much for gaming since it's stock speeds are at 2.6ghz. I have OC'ed the CPU to 3.6ghz and would like to see how much higher I can get if I OC the RAM as well. The build is below and the games I will be playing are BF4, GW2 and Total War: Rome II.

Mobo: MSI 890FXA-GD65
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1333 (F3-10666CL7D-8GBRH)
GPU: VisionTek HD 7850 2GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda LP Hard Drive 1TB 5900rpm 32MB SATA-3G
SSD: SanDisk Extreme SSD 120 GB (SDSSDX-120G-G25)
Sound Card: Xonar DS
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
PSU: Ultra LSP650 650-Watt
Case: Ultra X-Blaster ATX Black Mid-Tower Case

I am unsure of how exactly I can go about OC'ing the RAM. I have seen that things like timings on RAM have to be "tightened" and I have seen where I can modify those settings in my BIOS but I don't know what to set them to. Bit of help on educating me on how ot OC RAM please :)?

erm..
a) You need this: http://www.overclock.net/t/777378/official-gappos-little-deneb-thuban-overclocking-guide-with-too-many-smileys/0_100
b) realize that Thuban will only go up to 1920Mhz MAX stable on RAM
c) How to lower ram timings: Lower the 4 settings cL,trcd, trp, tras) 1 setting at a time.one notch at a time .lower it..reboot..see if post..lower 1 more..reboot..etc..until you don't POST;then go back to the last one that worked and move to the next one..this will put you in the ballpark

Set NB @ 1.26 and leave..
play with cpu/nb ..especially if you raise freq..(on Thuban up to around 3200 usually)
ermm..maybe add a little htt voltage, too..I do up to 1.37

Just received an email notifying me of this response this morning haha. I still have my cpu @ 3.6 w/ FSB @ 227 NB & HT @ 2216. CPU voltage is at 1.362 (might have bumped it up just a tad I don't remember and don't feel like restarting now to check lol). I got help with ram on another site in which they suggested I run 7-7-7-21-33 1t @ 1.65. Ram is at a 1:2 ratio giving 1108. With timings, ratio and voltage at that how can I tell if I am still running 1333 and or higher (completely clueless to the ram speeds haha)?
