Question Overclocking RAM

Hello! im trying to overclock my ram on an Asus Motherboard, i have an intel core i9 10900k

With 64GB of ram total (3600MHZ each) G-Skill Trident

Ive tried to use XMP but it seems to be making my computer a little slower, and ive gotten some error codes and it shutting down as well. so i was hoping somebody could help me set up the overclocking

Please list full pc spec. Is the RAM 4x16gb or 2x32gb and is it on the QVL list for the motherboard?

When running XMP did it default to 3600mhz? As a test try running 3200mhz and see if the errors still happen.

when I clicked XMP it defaults to 3600 however when I choose to DRAM frequency and click 3200 it seems to work with 3200

Maybe. You can try updating the BIOS but unlikely that will help. The most likely thing that will help is raising the DRAM voltage after setting XMP. I’ve read several times that using 4 dimms is more likely to have problems reaching higher speeds due to putting extra load on the memory controller.

Hello! im trying to overclock my ram but i seem to be havingb an issue

im using an Asus motherboard with an intel core i9 10900k

When i try to use the XMP profile it automatically sets a frequency for me and when i click save changes and reset it doesn't seem to work.

my ram is 4 sticks of 16gb each (3600) g skill trident.

right now im able to get 3200 but thats the max its letting me to go.

so you are using 2 kit?

Yes, thats correct i am using two 32 kits.
