I just purchased and setup my new system as follows:

EVGA 680i MB (122-CK-NF68-A1)
E6700 w/Hyper TX cooler
EVGA 8800GTX (768-P2-N831-AR)
Corsair Dominator TWIN2X2048-8500C5D w/memory fan
Thermaltake Tough Power 850W W0131

Keeping my old HD's, Case, 120mm Fans, FD, DVD-RW DL w/lightscribe and my new Gateway FPD2485W 24" Widescreen HD Display.
Maxtor 6H500FO (Storage)
6V300SO, 6L300FO (Raid)

My question is for anyone out there with the same MB, Memory and CPU setup.

Is your system overclocked? If so, what are your settings?
What kind of numbers have you received with 3DMarks06 and frame rates in games?

The best I can get using stock settings with 3DMarks06 is 10756 and the best with F.E.A.R. is 32 low, 51 average and 89 max running 1920X1200 with FSAA 2X and Texture at 2X and all options turned to max.
OC'ed to 2.91 the numbers only climb a small amount with the same settings for F.E.A.R. 32, 61, 125 and 3DMarks06 11084.
Since i've seen numbers much, much higher on systems with the same MB, CPU, Ram and Video card, I know this system is capable of much higher numbers without any problems.
I'm not looking for an extreme overclocked machine, but I would like to turn my settings up a little higher and get better numbers from the games I play along with 3DMarks.
Thanks to everyone!

your system seems to have problems cos i have
i got core 2 duo 2.4 GHz (OCed to 2.95 GHz)
2 gig kingston
8800 GTS OCed edition 320 ram
sata 300 gig hard drive
stock cooling (soon to be upgraded)

and i hit 10100 score on 3D mark06 only 900 less then your GTX over clocked
i think imo that u might have power problems (IE might be a bit faulty)since with your set up you should be hitting at least 16000k score on 06

or are you useing 64 bit vista ? if so go back to XP cos vista sucks on 3D applications i meen really sucks

I'm using 32-bit XP Pro.
I too thought I should have much better numbers. The power supply is new and when looking at the voltage in bios and with other programs running to check it, it always comes up rock steady at what each voltage output should be.

Does anyone have any ideas for things to check? What adjustments should I try making to get better numbers?

hi, im a noob at O'Clocking and my specs are bit like yours so heres what i have got so far. hope it helps.

My PC Specs

HDR/sm3.0 score 5142

CPU Score 2672

What i have O'Clocked to:

Bus Speeds

I have no idea if my 3Dmark results are good or if i have got good O'Clocking as like i say im a NOOB, this is my 1st time trying. Anyone seeing this who can help boost without making unstable let me know.
