I have successfully overclock one module Kingstone KHX2666C15S4/8G from 2666MHz to 3000MHZ at laptop and I tested it successfully with games. What I 've done was:
Rise voltage: from 1.2 to 1.35mV
Rise Memory Ratio: from 10 to 11. It gave me stable 133*11=1463MHz (~3000MHz)
It was great but,
I try to overclock it even further.
Rise Memory Ratio: from 11 to 12. So it should gave me 133*12= 1596MHz(~3200Mhz). I left voltage at 1.35mV.
Unfortunately laptop wasn't able to catch this freq.
BIOS automatically return to default values:
Memory Ration: 10
Voltage: 1.2mV
so I back to 1.35mV and I could do this successfully and than I try to rise memory ratio. Unfortunatelly I cannot Rise Memory Ratio: from 10 to 11. BIOS just reset settings to default 2666MHZ(mem. ratio 10 and voltage 1.2mV) so I can set only default RAM profile.
Could be any damage made to RAM stick?
How to make 3000Mhz possible again?
