Overclocking temps 8600k

Hey all,
I have a new 8600k OC'd to 4.6 on all cores, during casual gaming like R6S I get about 66°C.om cinebench is reflects about the same.
If I of to 4.9 on all cores I get a temp of high 70s .
I'm new to overclocking and I'm curious if those temps are okay.
My cooler is a deepcool captain 240

I’d say high 70s at 4.9 is pretty good. Warm but OK. Tried manually reducing the voltage a bit?

Yea those temps are pretty good, especially if those are what your getting during stress tests as normal usage or gaming should be a bit less.

So I just messed with the voltages and such, and I got a stable OC at 5ghz, and it's not going above 72° so I'm pretty happy

Very! If you wanted to further test then Prime95 V26.6 Small FFT's would be a good one.

Your temps are great for 4.6ghz or 4.9ghz.

As a side note, when I was running at 4.6ghz I found I could run stable by doing nothing but increase the multiplier to 46. It ran there with the vcore a nice low 1.218v.

Of course that was not my ultimate goal, just saying.
