How would I go about doing this? I've never over clocked before and I built my PC myself 😀

What voltage would I need and what is the max I can do without it overheating to the extent of it being bad over a long period of time. I don't want that 😛

My specs:

i7 3770k
Gigabyte 2GB GTX 670
RAM 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance LP
WD 1TB 7200RPM HDD
Noctua NH-D14 Double Air Cooling Fan
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H Motherboard

Intel's auto voltage will give you more voltage than is needed so your two options are: manual voltage, or offset voltage with LCC.

Best to find a good voltage by setting manually, then try to hit that target with offset. The advantage of offset is your voltage can drop when your cpu idles.

Sure, and it will go a lot higher than that. But it won't be at stock voltage, auto voltage will increase voltage beyond what is needed.

Guys, how am I doing this - through the BIOS?

Are there any certain values? Also what temperature could I expect to see my CPU at, when playing BF3 in ULTRA when my 3770k is OC'd to 4.5GHz?

Yes

Yes, but I don't know them. I have a 2500k. Time to google.

Oh, get the program Core Temp, too.

I downloaded it

*scratches head*

What would be my next course of action?
