Overclocking The AMD A6-7400K

I got scammed on eBay a while back. I bought a "gaming" PC for $300, what claimed to have a GTX 660 and an AMD A6-7400K. Spoiler, it didn't have a graphics card, and I couldn't return it. I've been a bit reluctant to overclock this CPU, because I'm using the stock cooler. Should I overclock it to push the most out of this PC before I upgrade, or is it not worth it?

You can't overclock it much because of that stock cooler, it also likely has a cheap motherboard and poor quality PSU. All ingredients for an unstable overclock. On top of that you're not gonna get a huge bump in performance anyway. I wouldn't even waste the time.
