Hey! So I got my MSI GTX 970 about half a year ago, and recently I have been playing with overclocking it.

So of course getting the newest one I pushed it over its limits alot of times, so the driver crashed again and again ;(
😛

But here is my own:
2hF0l8O.jpg

As you see in that frame it is running 71 fps in 1920x1017(Native resolution in a normal window on a 1920x1080-display)
So max/min fps is 74-67.
In "STRESS" it runs with a stable 70°C with AUTO-Mode on the fans.
When I turn off Kombustor to "simulate" lower gameload the temp quickly goes down to about 54°C (About 4 seconds)
Also, I didn't find much about how hot the max temperature should be to make the GPU "Live" longer, but I figured out I wouldn't want to go higher than 75-76°C.. Tips?

(Also, if you're going to copy my OC, remember to un-link Power Limit and Temperature limit, and then prioritize the temperature limit, as it will make your card live longer)

It is stable, as you can see. (I ran the Kombustor for 528 seconds, or almost 9 minutes without crashes.)

Are there any tips for what (If it is possible) would make it even faster? (Except from changing from an AMD FX6300 @3.8GHz)
Also, how is your OC? Please screenshot and send me! ;D

The 970 at stock does run over 70 degrees easily so don't worry about the temps too much as they won't shorten your lifespan that much and to be frank you will probably need to replace the gpu before it will die out.

Interms of gpu speed, have you tried increasing the voltage a bit and then overclocking the core further. Make sure that you cool the card when doing this by ramping up fans as it will get quite hot

Hey, thanks for clearing the temp things up for me :)
And yes, I have tried to increase voltage and core, but the core keeps crashing the graphics driver over "+215". Going up to "+215" gives me about 1 extra fps, but is not as stable as "+210" under load from multiple graphics-processing programs.

Unfortunately you have hit the wall and the gpu can't overclock any further without crashing. Please select as best solution if I have solved your problem
