Overclocking too high ?

Hi i have recently bought 2 asus strix GTX 980's i was running a benchmark in sli for both cards and hit a boost clock of 1556mhz this seems absurd so i ran the bench ( valley ) 4 times and each time it was stable , even so i was wondering if a boost this high would hurt the cards ?

Depends on your temps. Did you increase voltage?
