I just bought a 4×8 Gb ddr4 kit, it's Tridentz royal elite at 3600mhz cl14. I will pair it with an 11900k and an Asus z590 Maximus hero extreme motherboard. Do you think i could overclock it to 4400 mhz at cl19 or 18? And how do i do it? I know ram speed won't really make a difference but i want to try it anyway.

depends on the imc quality and ic quality of the ram, you could go 4400mhz but that will make your imc run at gear 2, which is half speed than regular gear 1. 3600mhz cl14 is already good enough, but if you wanted to, you need to adjust the timings and subtimings to make it work and stable. i usually prefer between the range of 3800-4000 if gear 1 is still obtainable, squishing most performance out of both ram and cpu.

I know i have to run it in gear 2 but a lot of benchmarks show better performance in games at 4400 mhz. What timing should i use for this frequency?

I have the same kit running 4000 cl14-14-14-35 with trfc 305 txp 4 trefi 65555 or Max gear down and rank disabled @ 1.55v
Stable as and 35ns latency on AIDA

Other good one is 4300 cl16 16 16 36

But I'm using 10900k, I've heard 11900k isn't favourable using higher frequency, 3766-3800 cl14 will work if it doesn't like 4000
