So, I'm fairly new to the concept of overclocking processors and I was wondering if overclocking this old processor for better performance is worth it. I usually play casual games that don't require very high end processors such as team fortress or half life, but I'd prefer a bit higher frames. I know this might seem like a very newbie but again, I'm new to this, so I'd prefer the opinion of an expert.
My specs:
GPU : GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53Ghz
Memory: 4 GB Ram
Suggestions?

On a average quality motherboard, E7200 can be overclocked fairly easily to 3GHz by simply setting the following in BIOS:

- FSB to 333MHz
- multiplier to 9
- voltage to 1.3V (depending on the quality of your CPU, it sometimes works with 1.2V as well which results in lower temperatures, but sometimes needs as much as 1.35).

However, somehow I do not believe that you will be able to do it - most prebuilt PCs like Dell have very limited BIOSes and prevent overclocking either by limiting voltage or changing FSB.
