Hey folks, I've never OC'd before, but I'd like to squeeze that free juice out of my processor. I would not, however, like to take too much unnecessary risk, so I was wondering if I should hold off on OCing until I can afford a better PSU. Here are my specs:

OS
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
AMD FX-6300
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 936MHz (11-11-11-30)
MOBO
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. 970 PRO GAMING/AURA (Socket 942)
GPU
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 370 Series (MSI)
Storage
931GB Seagate ST31000524AS (SATA)
55GB OCZ-AGILITY2 (SSD)
55GB OCZ-AGILITY2 (SSD)
931GB JMicron SCSI Disk Device (SATA)
931GB Western Digital WD Ext HDD 1021 USB Device (SATA)
PSU
500W Thermaltake TR2 Series

Well, 500w is plenty for your system and a decent overclock, BUT your psu is not a very reliable unit which is more important than the actual power rating.

Staying on the side of caution, I would not overclock much until you get a BETTER psu.

Thanks for your reply. Would you recommend anything under $50? If there is anything under $50? Haha
