Overclocking with a friend's computer

So recently I was thinking of upgrading to a 1070, but I am afraid that my i5 7400 will have a bottleneck and won't be really balanced with my gpu. So I browsed around and found out that an Overclocked 7400 should work. But sadly I have a b250 board which I can't overclock with. So I am thinking of asking a friend with a z270 to overclock my CPU for me. Will it work? Thanks a lot
P.S I am not really a PC expert so sorry if I talk nonsense

You can go pretty far with a fast GPU slow CPU mismatch without any real issues. It just won't perform as well. A real bottleneck iis when you have a CPU that's so slow the GPU has to stop and wait for data to run. You're a long way from that.
Here's the CPU hierarchy chart. If you scroll down to the Legacy CPU section you'll see that the i5-7400 is still in the top tier of gaming GPUs.

Now if you had a Q9650 there would be some overclocking needed.
