Overclocking Without Voltage?

A lot of people seem to have different opinions on "how to overclock".

The most popular is: "increase it little by little until it crashes or artifacts, then decrease"

Isn't overclocking until a crash or artifact terrible for the card? I'm not gonna lie, I increased by card's clock a little to much and it artifacted. This caused damage? Yes?

Solution
There is multiple threads on overclocking and you can do it until crash or artifacts. In ny experience if core clock is unstable i get black screen or driver crash. Memory overclocking causes most of the time artifacts and decrease in benchmark score.
Overclocking without increasing voltage wont cause damage.

Only if you overvolt above guided limits ( needs alot to kill card immidiately) or few years of thermal throttling.

You can do no damage with increase of core clock or memory clock.
