Overclocking XFX R9 280 Black Double Disspation Edition

Hi, so I'm a little bit unsatisfied how my PC runs in new games (CoD Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 4 etc.) and I thought of overclock it a little bit. So, this is my first time to do overclock, and I want to be sure I won't mess it up. So it's running 1000mHz Core Clock and 1300mHz memory clock. How further should I go to get at least 5-10 FPS more and will it be a big difference on power consumption?

Download MSI AB push power limit to 20% and overclock it to 1100/1500 to reach 280X performance. It should be failry easy with 1.2v.

Power limit maximum is 20%, are you sure it is good idea? And what can happen to GPU if its overpowered?

Giving it more juice so it can handle the OC otherwise it will throttle down to its stock clocks. Dont worry, wont harm your card. I suggest you look up for some tahiti overclocking guide.

Thanks. I've done it and it gave me some boost, got about 5FPS more on x8MSAA anti aliasing and it is not going over 60°C on 60% fan speed.
