overclocking Zotac GPU

first i don't know anything about overclocking and i want to overclock my graphic card it's:
Geforce Zotac GTX 650 Ti Boost edition ..
i don't have cooler system on my PC just good Fan..
i don't know if this help but my PSU: Corsair VS 650
what program to use and it's safe 100% or not??

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

I would like to know what motherboard and CPU do you have.

I use MSI Afterburner, download and installed. Also download GPUZ and let me know the temps that you get on your GPU on idle and load, you can check the temps with afterburner too.

i have intel motherboard
cpu intel core i5-2500
on idle the temp is 38-40 c
on load 60-75 c ....hope that's all

Perfect.

1st thing to do is create a fan profile for you GPU, the idea is get the max performance but keep the GPU as cool as you can. On MSI Afterburner go to settings and fan tab, there proceed to create the fan profile, the idea is that your max temp on load never goes above 75°C-80°C.

After that, move on to the main window and start to change the core clock in little steps. Only the core clock, if you change all options and something goes "wrong" is more difficult know what it was. I suggest you make those changes in 20MHz max and try stability.

How test stability? You can run programs like 3DMark latest version or even, play some games that you normally play.

How much you can rise it? Do it until you get a freeze screen or BSoD. Do not worry, nothing is gone a happen with the GPU or rig. When you find the limit, let me know and we move on to the next step.

my friend i done what you told me i have increased it to +110 core clock after that the game freezes alot and i click save profile now what??
i used msi Afterburner

Wait, you need check if those clocks are stable enough for play any game without freeze. Are those clocks stable for have a good gaming experience?

Perfect.

Can you use the voltage option in the program? Or is locked for you.

Now you have to move on to the memory clock. Use the same process that you used with core clock, but this time the limit should be found more faster.

thanks man really you the the best it's up to 71c max and i don't know why it's lower than befor overclock..anyway..
i have one last question when i do restart for pc all overclock things stay or i have to open the msi afterburner again load the profile again
and if i want to get everything back to normal just rest the afterburner and apply right?

You can save the profile and (I am not sure) configure afterburner for load that profile as soon as you rig boot up.

Correct, if you want the clocks to normal just hit the reset button and all is back to default.
